Peter Paul John's and Constantine's sister, Sophie, married Thomas Thornton, and their son, William Thomas Thornton, CB, became a prominent Economist and friend of John Stuart Mill, and wrote the book: "Zohrab, or a Midsummer Day's Dream, and Other Poems" (London: Longman's). See the Bibliography for writings on him by Mark Donoghue.The page http://members.ozemail.com.au/~clday/harts101.htm mentions Edward Zohrab Thornton as being a Lieutenant in the Bengal Fusiliers - 104th Regiment of Foot (of 12 yrs service in 1873).A great-grandson of Sophie Zohrab was Professor Dudley William Carmalt Jones (1874-1957) who married Mabel Gertrude Tottenham (1874-1955). He taught medicine at Otago University (in Dunedin, New Zealand), founded the Otago University Rowing Club and wrote the book "Diversions of a Professor in New Zealand".
